About the Role:

We’re seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead day-to-day activities at a grain export facility just outside Moree. You’ll be managing production, staff, and safety with a strong focus on quality, structure, and continual improvement. This is a boots-on-the-ground role, perfect for someone ready to lead from the front and take charge. With a growing, dynamic company behind you, you’ll have the autonomy to make real change—and be recognised for it.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee production flow and improve daily operational efficiency
• Lead, motivate, and manage a largely backpacker workforce
• Manage HACCP, WHS, hygiene, and quality systems on-site
• Ensure inventory control, stocktake accuracy, and freight coordination
• Maintain compliance with safety, equipment, and training standards
• Report to the GM and collaborate closely with ownership
• Drive continuous improvement and streamline procedures on-site

About You:

You’re a decisive and capable leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves, make the hard calls, and handle things diplomatically when needed. Whether you’re from agriculture, manufacturing, or a related field, you know how to lead a crew and improve operations from the ground up.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong leadership with proven team management experience
• Background in production, food processing, or agri-business
• Comfortable working long hours during busy periods
• Confident managing a multicultural, transient workforce
• Committed to WHS, quality control, and getting the job done right
