About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and experienced
Rearing Poultry Farm Manager to lead daily operations on our rearing site. The successful applicant will oversee all aspects of pullet development, ensuring optimal bird health, welfare, and performance while maintaining compliance with strict biosecurity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities - Manage all aspects of pullet rearing, including bird health, nutrition, and environmental control.
- Supervise, train, and motivate farm staff to achieve production and welfare targets.
- Monitor feed and water systems, flock growth rates, and overall welfare performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, WHS, and biosecurity procedures.
- Oversee maintenance of farm infrastructure, sheds, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and daily checks.
- Coordinate chick placements, vaccination schedules, and flock transfers.
- Liaise with senior management, veterinarians, and support teams to achieve production goals.
Skills & Experience - Proven experience in poultry rearing, breeding, or broiler management (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
- Solid understanding of poultry welfare, biosecurity, and production principles.
- Practical problem-solving ability and proactive work ethic.
- Current driver’s licence required.
- (Preferred) Certificate III/IV in Agriculture, Poultry Production, or similar qualification.
