In this senior-level role, you will play a key part in shaping and executing high-impact sales strategies targeting Trade, Specialist Stores, and selected Majors across VIC.
Responsibilities: - Spearhead the development and implementation of strategic sales plans aligned with overarching corporate objectives.
- Identify and secure new business sales opportunities to strategically expand market presence.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and set ambitious yet achievable performance goals for the sales team.
- Lead and mentor the sales team in Victoria, overseeing training, performance evaluations, and robust development initiatives.
- Analyse weekly results, applying strategic adjustments to ensure the realization of company goals, and adapt sales territories as needed.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships through regular meetings with key customers, state, and regional general managers.
- Provide valuable feedback to the National Sales Manager through insightful reviews of product ranges.
- Act as the ambassador of our client at trade days and association meetings, effectively promoting products and enhancing the brand image.
- Deliver compelling and persuasive sales presentations to key clients, showcasing the unique value proposition of our client's offerings.
- Apply your analytical skills to control division expenditures, adhering to budgetary requirements and ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Prepare comprehensive budgets, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.
Experience/Qualifications: - A proven track record in senior-level sales management, preferably within the lighting, building supplies or related industry.
- Demonstrated prowess in leadership and team management, inspiring excellence and achieving collective success.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic planning abilities, with a track record of translating plans into tangible results.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, honed through years of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on consistently exceeding ambitious sales targets.
- Familiarity with trade and wholesale specialist store environments, and a keen understanding of market dynamics.
- In-depth knowledge of the Victorian market, providing a valuable edge in crafting effective sales strategies.
- Proven experience in budget management, showcasing financial acumen and responsible resource allocation.
