An opportunity has arisen within their Tullamarine branch for an experienced Account Officer. Reporting to the Branch Manger, and working within a friendly and vibrant team, this position will see you handling all account Functions
Key responsibilities will include: - Perform full function of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Manage daily cash flow, conduct foreign currency purchase
- Process Foreign Currency Payments
- Perform weekly customer analysis in terms of credit limit and terms
- Process client refunds, staff expenses claims, manage corporate credit card and reconcile expenditure
- Month-end processes, reporting and analysing
- Manage prepayments and accruals
- Balance Sheets – in consultation with external accountants at year end
- Profit and Loss – in consultation with external accountants at year end
- End of year tax statements – in consultation with external accountants at year end (incl journals)
- BAS
- WIPS/Accruals
Required Skills / Criteria:
Applicants must have recent experience working in a relevant Accounts/Bookkeeping role within the international freight forwarding industry.
Experience with Cargowise operating system essential
Please note: This can be a Full Time $75,000 or Part Time $65,000 (School hours) position
Hours of operation are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday
