With growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Export Operator to join their enthusiastic and experienced team. Responsible for the smooth and efficient coordination of export shipments your responsibilities will include:
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Source and negotiate rates, receive, and coordinate booking and job registrations.
- Preparing export documentation, ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Coordinating the collection and delivery of containers / goods, ensuring cut off times are met.
- Accurate and timely preparation and issue of invoices.
- Provide regular updates on arrival details and status reports.
- Maintain strong long-term relationships with clients, service providers, overseas partners and other relevant parties.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination.
- Exposure to containerised and specialty cargo
You will have a minimum 12 months relevant industry experience within international freight forwarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly organised with attention to detail and a passion for providing quality and personalised service. An easy-going and adaptable personality would also suit this small team, who offer a supportive and positive workplace culture and hybrid work arrangements. Experience with Cargowise software is preferred.
