Pace have joined with Australia's leading Fresh Produce company, both Family owned and operated right here in our beautiful Lockyer Valley!
Benchmarking best practice farming and consistently supplying Australia and international retail partners with the highest quality fresh produce year round.
Due to growth they are now looking to gain a farm maintenance mechanic/fitter to assist in ensuring the smooth operation of agricultural machinery and equipment. This position requires a hands-on approach to maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across various farm operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all farming equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs on tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and other agricultural machinery.
• Installing new machinery and equipment as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs conducted, and parts used for inventory management.
• Collaborating with other staff members to identify areas for improvement in machinery efficiency and functionality.
• Maximising productivity on the farm while minimising downtime due to equipment failure.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Fitting or equivalent) 
• Proven experience in mechanical fitting or general maintenance roles 
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Lead by example in maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Contribute to a cohesive team environment
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Understand and comply with all company procedures and policies
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support various areas of the farm operations.
