Mechanical Fitter – Food Manufacturing 
Location: Brisbane- North or South ( You Pick)
Salary: $45ph-$55ph+ penalties + super
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking  multiple Mechanical Fitters to join established maintenance teams of up to 10 tradespersons. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing industrial machinery to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced  manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on, safety-conscious professional with a strong mechanical background. With recent expansions and upgrades, we require fitters who can handle fast-paced breakdown work with zero downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery across various industries.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure equipment reliability.
• Conduct machinery upgrades, installations, and modifications as required.
• Support expansion projects and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Cert III in Engineering or equivalent).
• Experience across manufacturing, industrial, mining or processing sectors is highly regarded.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyors.
• Welding and fabrication skills (advantageous but not essential).
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced breakdown environment with zero downtime.
• Physically fit, able to climb 10kg steps, and work efficiently in a dynamic setting.
• Must have own transport and willing to obtain necessary vaccinations/Pre Employment Medicals.
• Open to female candidates and 3rd or 4th year Fitter apprentices looking to build a career in mechanical maintenance.
