Maintenance Fitter – North Brisbane

Pace Appointments is currently recruiting skilled Maintenance Fitters for our client located on Brisbane’s northside.  This hands-on role is integral to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of plant and equipment by conducting maintenance, troubleshooting issues and refining preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and support production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance to optimise equipment reliability and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to breakdowns, diagnose faults and implement solutions to minimise production delays.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant safety and quality regulations.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee daily maintenance activities in alignment with operational demands.

Essential Requirements:

• Mechanical trade qualification (e.g., Fitter and Turner).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency for maintenance documentation and planning.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing setting.

Additional Information:

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, as well as functional capacity assessments, are required.
• Lifestyle roster with 12-hour shifts, covering days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
