Pace have partnered with a global player in the Fresh Produce and distribution sector, Seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Planner with a background in the food/FMCG sector, to coordinate and plan maintenance activities and provide technical input to ensure high plant availability, operational efficiency and quality.

Role Responsibilities

• Reporting to the National Maintenance Manager
• Analyse, scope, develop  and execute all maintenance requirements and shut down works
• Scheduling, costing and supporting Planned and Reactive maintenance work
• Engage external vendors to perform work when required
• Develop and improve equipment maintenance strategies and optimize reliability across site
• Lead ongoing maintenance and development of the Mex Computerised Maintenance Management System.
• Managing Spare part Procurement and Inventory
• Ensure that efficient, effective and safe work practices and sound working relations are constantly maintained

To be successful you should have

• Mechanical/electrical trade certificate and 3 years experience in maintenance planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and experience using MEX processes and procedures, along with maintenance management practices
• Promote and lead All users (operators, maintenance employees, contractors, and suppliers)to ensure they are trained and competent in their respective duties of the maintenance system
• SAP experience desirable.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC’s is highly regarded along with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Shutdown planning experience is an advantage
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
