Roster: Rotating 4-Week Roster (4 On / 5 Off / 5 On / 4 Off)
Vaccination Requirement: Must be willing to obtain a Q fever vaccination
About the Role Are you an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Supervisor ready to take the lead in a bustling industrial facility? We are looking for a dynamic leader to oversee our maintenance team, ensuring the high standards of safety, efficiency, and productivity of all machinery and equipment. You will manage a team of skilled maintenance fitters, coordinating activities across shifts to minimise downtime and drive optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities - Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance fitters, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance team performance and professional growth.
- Maintenance Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Assist in diagnosing complex mechanical issues and ensure effective, timely repairs.
- Safety Management: Foster a culture of safety within the team, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and conducting regular audits.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams to prioritise maintenance tasks and minimise disruptions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and compliance documents.
- Performance Monitoring: Evaluate team performance and implement continuous improvement strategies for maintenance processes.
Roster Schedule - Shift Times:
- Day Shift – 4 AM Start
- Night Shift – 4 PM Start
- Average Weekly Hours: 42 hours across a 4-week rotation
4-Week Rotation Overview: - Week 1: 48 hours (4 shifts: 2 days, 2 nights)
- Week 2: 60 hours (5 shifts: 2 days, 3 nights)
- Week 3: 36 hours (3 shifts: 3 days)
- Week 4: 24 hours (2 shifts: 2 nights)
Qualifications - Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or relevant field, with experience in maintenance operations
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a maintenance environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with inventory management and maintenance scheduling systems
- Willingness to obtain Q fever vaccination if not already vaccinated
