Industrial Electrician – FMCG (Meat Processing) – Full-Time
We are seeking two full-time Industrial Electrician to join our fast-paced FMCG food production facility, specialising in chicken processing. This is a stable, long-term opportunity for an experienced industrial electrician looking for a hands-on role with great career growth based in North Brisbane.
About the Role
As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and automated machinery within our meat processing plant. You will work closely with fitters and apprentices to ensure optimal machine performance and minimal downtime in a high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical maintenance on processing and packaging equipment
Diagnose & repair faults in PLCs, VSDs, motors, and control systems
Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Work with automation systems to troubleshoot and optimize performance
Ensure compliance with food safety and electrical safety regulations
Support production teams by responding quickly to breakdowns
Participate in shift rotations, including some weekend work (every 3rd Saturday)
Key Requirements:
✔ Current Electrical Licence (Cert IV Electrical Fitter or Electrical Mechanic)
✔ Must Have strong industrial experience
✔ Fault finding & diagnostics skills
✔ Experience with PLCs & VSDs (troubleshooting, not programming)
✔ Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
✔ Team player with excellent communication skills
✔ Comfortable with rotating shifts, including some weekends (every 3rd Saturday)
Shifts Available (No Night Shift):
Shift 1: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 am – 3:00 pm (10-hour shifts, 1-hour paid lunch)
Shift 2: Tuesday – Saturday, 5:00 am – 1:00 pm (Saturday attracts 50% loading)
Shift 3: Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (no loading)
Each shift includes a Fitter, an Electrician, and an Apprentice to ensure balanced team support.
Salary & Benefits:
Base Salary: $102,883.18 + Superannuation (11.5%)
Total Package (excluding Saturday loading): $114,663.12
Enterprise Agreement Salary Increase:
▪ From October 1, 2025: Base salary increases to $106,484.09
▪ From July 2025: Superannuation increases from 11.5% to 12%
