Working in a fast-paced environment, this hands-on role will see you responsible for coordinating the flow of cargo for recently secured major mining contract from Brisbane and global locations to PNG, whilst ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain are managed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure project execution to client satisfaction, KPI’s are achieved, and all information processed in a timely manner.
- Planning and execution of road, airfreight and seafreight cargo movements including OOG and project cargo.
- Accurate and timely recording of all material movements including receipting and dispatching.
- Ensure all activities are performed safely, accurately and in accordance with customer / project requirements.
- Any and all miscellaneous tasks as required by clients’ needs.
This role will suit a real “go-getter” who can multi-task and who relishes the chance to take on this hands-on role. Variety is what you will expect on a day-to-day basis - this is not an average operational position.
You will possess high attention to detail and strong planning and organising skills, ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, capacity to work autonomously and within a team environment. Minimum 3 years’ experience in project forwarding with strong understanding of transport logistics and warehouse operations essential.
