Pace Appointments is proudly partnering with our valued client located on Brisbane’s southside to recruit a Workshop Supervisor for a full-time, permanent position. This hands-on leadership role will see you managing daily workshop operations, overseeing technicians and supporting the development of apprentices.
About the Role: As Workshop Supervisor, you will coordinate workflow, allocate tasks to the appropriate technicians, and ensure all mechanical servicing and repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. You’ll also raise quotes, manage purchase orders, and liaise with internal departments to maintain inventory and workflow accuracy.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and team productivity
- Allocate and manage technician workloads, including external contractors
- Raise quotes and purchase orders, ensuring timely job progression
- Support the team with technical guidance and ensure quality workmanship
- Monitor job efficiency, quoted vs. actual hours
- Mentor apprentices and help grow their trade skills
- Communicate job updates, timelines, and costs clearly with admin and stakeholders
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
- Ensure adherence to OH&S and company procedures
About You: - Trade qualified with strong mechanical knowledge
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience motivating teams
- Excellent organisational, planning, and communication abilities
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service
- Ability to work within company systems and processes
