Pace Vic are excited to exclusively partner with Ronstan International who are now on the lookout for an exceptional new Logistics Officer to join their tight-knit team based in Braeside. Ronstan International, a member of the Wichard Group, are recognised internationally as one of the top three manufacturers of sailboat hardware, are providers of specialist services to the architectural building industry, and have state of the art manufacturing facilities in Melbourne, Denmark and Indonesia. From humble beginnings, the company was established over 70 years ago in a small factory located in Southeast Melbourne and has gone from strength to strength to become the force in the market it is today.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role will be heavily involved in purchasing, production planning and inventory management. And support to the production, sales, warehouse, domestic and international freight functions.
Responsibilities include: - Identification, planning, and management of the Melbourne raw materials, component stock and manufactured finished goods inventory.
- Review, ordering and transfer coordination between intercompany sites internationally.
- Liaise closely with purchasing personnel to ensure timely delivery of manufacturing requirements other than intercompany purchases.
- Liaise with sales and manufacturing to ensure that forecasting policies and procedures meet delivery standards and issues are communicated.
- Forecasting and logistic analysis of domestic raw material and component inventories.
- Regular review of inventory, placing emphasis on reduction of obsolete and slow-moving stock holdings.
- Being a driving force with regard to operational improvement.
- Maximising the use of MS D365 planning and logistics tools.
About you:
- 3+ years experience in logistics, purchasing or procurement
- Experience in a manufacturing environment essential
- Must have exceptional communication skills and a proven history of strong stakeholder management
- A continuous improvement, growth mindset is crucial
- A can-do, hands-on, proactive approach is essential
- Exposure to Microsoft D365 is highly advantageous
- Engineering, metals, fabrication background advantageous
- An understanding of yachting, sailing or the marine industry overall will be well regarded, but not essential.
