An excellent opportunity for a recent Food Science or Science junior/grad to kickstart their career in Quality Assurance within the food industry. This role supports the QA Manager in key quality processes, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, and will in turn receive close guidance and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain the QA & CoA mailbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Maintain a supplier COA database for easy access by internal teams.
- Log and track customer complaints (NCRs) and support investigations.
- Assist in HACCP reviews, compliance checks, and document control.
- Support the sampling program, ensuring timely approvals and reporting.
- Coordinate responses to customer questionnaires and product documentation.
- Monitor and update supplier accreditations and renewals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quality processes.
- Work closely with Sales, Planning, and Warehousing teams to support quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and sustainability initiatives.
About You: - Degree or Associate Diploma in Food Science, Science, or a related field (Certificate IV in Food Processing is an advantage).
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Exposure to laboratory applications or food manufacturing is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to process improvements.
- Experience with M3 ERP systems is preferred but not essential.
