Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Site Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee maintenance activities at their depot site. Reporting to the Site Manager/Site Supervisor, this role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, cost-effective repairs and preventative maintenance while maintaining a safe and productive working environment. 

About the role:

• Planning, supervising, and performing equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Managing on-site contractors and team members involved in maintenance tasks.
• Minimizing equipment downtime and optimizing spare parts management.
• Ensuring compliance with safety systems, permits, and risk assessments.
• Supporting shift supervisors across shifts to maximize operational efficiency.
• Training and mentoring employees, fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Maintaining accurate communication regarding operational matters.

About you:

• A qualification as a fitter and turner, with hydraulic and pneumatic experience (certified).
• Proven experience with chain-driven conveyors.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in an operational or manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance standards.
• The ability to motivate and train team members effectively.
• A self-motivated approach with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
• Basic computer literacy skills.
• A disconnect and reconnect electrical license (preferred but not essential).
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required and attend relevant training or courses.
