Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on
Site Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee maintenance activities at their depot site. Reporting to the Site Manager/Site Supervisor, this role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, cost-effective repairs and preventative maintenance while maintaining a safe and productive working environment.
About the role: - Planning, supervising, and performing equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Managing on-site contractors and team members involved in maintenance tasks.
- Minimizing equipment downtime and optimizing spare parts management.
- Ensuring compliance with safety systems, permits, and risk assessments.
- Supporting shift supervisors across shifts to maximize operational efficiency.
- Training and mentoring employees, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Maintaining accurate communication regarding operational matters.
About you: - A qualification as a fitter and turner, with hydraulic and pneumatic experience (certified).
- Proven experience with chain-driven conveyors.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in an operational or manufacturing environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance standards.
- The ability to motivate and train team members effectively.
- A self-motivated approach with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
- A disconnect and reconnect electrical license (preferred but not essential).
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required and attend relevant training or courses.
