International freight and customs business that have been active in the Australian market for 30+ years with offices all over the country and many others across the globe. Strong onboarding processes with interstate travel and training within your first month, along with a 2 day WFH work week once you pass probation or begin to pick things up unsupervised. This company push for staff to create strong bonds and relationships with their clients, so need like minded people that relish client interaction. 

The Role

Joining a transport cartage team of 6, your role will primarily be covering FCL cartage, but also helping out the LCL and Air cartage team members in peak times or when people are away.  Development opportunities to grow into the team lead and even transport manager. Eventually getting involved in final invoicing for GST & duties, as well as liaising with the customs team, customer service team with updates and any trouble shooting directly with the client, whilst building a strong relationship between them and the suppliers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Booking all FCL transport bookings from wharf to depot and clients
• Liaising with clients on a daily basis
• Liaising with customs and customer service teams daily
• Final invoicing, eventually
• Assisting with LCL & Air cartage in peak periods 
• Building strong relationships with client base

Skills & Experience

• Freight Forwarding experience a must
• Cartage exposure in your freight forwarding career
• Cargowise system experience, advantageous
• Confidence speaking with clients
• Ability to travel interstate for onboarding for a few days
• Customs requirement skills, desirable
