The Client

Privately owned Australian freight forwarder with offices in both Sydney and Melbourne who are currently in expansion mode.  Modern open plan office in the Banksmeadow area of Sydney with 4 days in the office, free parking and 1 day WFH. More quality staff required to keep up with the new clients coming onboard each week and will pay for the right skills and experience to make sure they have one of the best customer service operators in the freight forwarding Sydney market with them.  

The Role

As the customer service coordinator, you will have your own list of clients that you will look after for all of their import sea and air shipments into Sydney from all over the world.  Routings, bookings management, as well as quotations and general trouble shooting issues for your clients daily requirements and queries. This role is for the experienced international customer service freight forwarder that thrives on problem solving and autonomous work environments where they can make the role their own

Duties & Responsibilities

• Organising all routing and bookings for your clients
• Liaising with external and internal teams daily
• Liaising with overseas offices, agents and suppliers
• Quotations for new shipments and one off shipments
• Setting up SOP's for said clients
• Setting up new client SOP's and updates

Skills & Experience

• Freight Forwarding experience a must
• Incoterms understanding
• Quoting experience, advantageous
• Confidence over phone and email with clients
• International forwarding customer service, desirable
• Import Operations exposure
