Australian privately owned freight forwarder based in the busy hub of Tullamarine in Melbourne with wholesale and retail capabilities. New open plan modern office set up with 2 Export operators and a team of 10 in a group of 30 with offices all over Australia and connections to all parts of the world in agents and their own offices. General cargo forwarding and development opportunities for those keen for leadership roles down the line. Hard work rewards and teamwork mentality, yet the autonomy of running your own desk.

The Role

Reporting to the National Air Freight Manager, your role will primarily be all export air operations moving client’s cargo to all parts of the globe. Cargowise system, general cargo, wholesale cargo, retail cargo, you name it. A little import air ops thrown in for good measure but mainly export focused and require people with export air backgrounds above all else. Confidence in your abilities and determination to keep clients happy with your service is paramount. If exports is your forte, this role is for you.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Booking all export air cargo movements through SOP directives
• Organising domestic pick ups and deliveries
• Liaising with internal departments and warehouse teams daily
• Daily contact with overseas offices, agents, lines and hubs
• Import air check ins with driver collections
• Customs & quarantine checks

Skills & Experience

• Freight Forwarding experience
• Export Air understanding and exposure
• Customer Service, Operations, Cartage, all Air
• Cargowise system experience
• Desire to work in the office 5 days a week
• Import Air, advantageous
