The Client

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role will be to create and run with all new sea and air freight export bookings out of Melbourne to all parts of the globe. While mainly sea freight, there will be enough air freight jobs to keep you busy, but if you are lacking in either, training will be provided to make you the ultimate export operator. Working in a team of 3, job numbers are steady and evenly split so a team effort is always on the cards for problem solving and assistance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• International routing and bookings
• Export Sea and Air operations (70/30 split)
• Liaising with agents, hubs, carriers, suppliers and clients
• Creating new bookings
• Work closely with customs for clearance of goods
• Identifying and resolving issues in real time

Skills & Experience

• Freight forwarding experience
• Export Sea and/or Air exposure
• Cargowise experience
• Dealings with hazardous and DG cargo, advantageous
• International logistics documentation and permits understanding
• Time management & prioritisation skills
