The Client

National privately owned Australian freight forwarding and consolidation business based in the busy hub of Sydney Airport, with offices strategically stations across the country and parts of southeast Asia. Moving their own FCL/FAK shipments across the globe for a range of forwarders and exporters looking to move LCL cargo out of Melbourne. With onsite parking and a nice open plan office with 10 staff. Not only will you be covering the role of Export Sea operations but have the chance to develop and upskill yourself into imports as well when you are keen and ready.

The Role

Reporting to the export manager, your role will be liaising with exporters and forwarders on a daily basis, as well as local carriers and suppliers in organisng all export cargo to all parts of the globe, with a main focus on the south east Asia region. Joining a team of 2 in the exports team, collaborating on filling all new FAK movements from start to finish, your role is not only collaboration with your team and carriers, but with your clients too. Perfect for those who love to problem solve in a fast paved environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• International routing and bookings
• Liaising with local carriers and suppliers daily
• Booking in shipments with lines and some quotations
• Warehouse interaction for all cargo movements
• Hub confirmations and updates
• Documentation collation

Skills & Experience

• Freight forwarding experience
• Consolidation / Co-load exposure, advantageous
• FAK understanding
• Cargowise system exposure, desirable
• The right mindset and attitude to get the job done
• Eager to learn and develop into import operations
