Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Freight Forwarding All-Rounder to join their dynamic team. This position will be based in the operations team, which is undergoing a slight restructure, offering you the chance to grow and diversify your skills across both customs and forwarding duties.
About the Role: - Primarily handling imports, with some involvement in exports (mostly sea freight, with a small amount of air freight and dangerous goods).
- As part of our operations team, you will assist in the start-to-finish handling of freight, with a focus on import and export logistics.
- Over time, our operations team will take on additional customs registration and transport coordination, allowing you to focus solely on freight forwarding tasks.
- Experience with Cyberfreight or Tradewindow will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage import and export freight forwarding operations.
- Handle customs registration, transport organization, and full-cycle coordination for both imports and exports.
- Work closely with the operations team, who will handle customs jobs and forwarding registration, allowing you to focus on the logistics side.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations for both imports and exports.
Ideal Candidate: - Solid experience in freight forwarding (import and export).
- Knowledge of customs regulations and registration processes.
- Proficient in Cyberfreight or Tradewindow software.
- Strong understanding of sea freight and air freight operations, with experience in dangerous goods.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
