Join our clients Sea Import Operations Department in the heart of Inner Sydney for a full-time position in a supportive team environment.
As a self-motivated and experienced Import Operator in the Freight Forwarding industry, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless daily operations Sea Freight shipments.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage FCL, LCL, operations
- Efficient job registration
- Consignment tracking and proactive customer updates
- Lodge Sea Cargo Automation
- Collaborate with shipping lines, and unpack depots
- Engage with overseas offices, agents, and consignees via email and phone for air and sea freight movements
- Facilitate payment of local arrival charges
- Issue invoices, pre-alerts, arrival notices, outturn reports, and delivery orders
- Prepare documents for internal departments
We are seeking candidates with the following attributes: - Proactive with a positive can-do attitude
- Proficient in using CargoWise EDI
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and excellent time management skills
- In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding operations
- Ability to think creatively and find swift solutions to challenges
- Confidence to engage with key account customers
- Familiarity with Customs and Quarantine procedures
