Our client is seeking an
Import Sea Freight Operator to oversee sea freight shipments and ensure efficient import operations. You will be responsible for coordinating, tracking, and managing all aspects of sea freight imports for their Sydney-based clients..
Key Responsibilities: - Book sea freight shipments with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
- Prepare and manage import documents
- Keep clients informed about their shipments and resolve any issues.
- Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and manage any delays.
- Calculate and verify shipping charges and handle invoicing.
- Liaising with shipping lines, customs brokers, and other service providers.
- Resolve any shipment issues or claims for lost/damaged goods.
- Ensure shipments comply with Australian import regulations.
Skills & Qualifications: - At least 2 years in import sea freight or logistics.
- Understanding of sea freight, customs processes, and import regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve issues efficiently.
- Accurate in managing documents and shipment details.
- Excellent service skills to build client relationships.
