The Client

International freight forwarder based in the Melbourne CBD in modern open plan office space, right on tram and train lines for those taking PT. Through strategic acquisitions and international partnerships, this company is both financially stable and kicking goals in terms of clients onboard and bespoke supply chain solutions for the types of cargo being moved all over the world. Matching their clients with their all round operators so that everyone involved knows where they stand and what they are responsible for.


The Role

This is a role for the freight forwarder who has done it all in nearly every operational sense of forwarding.  Imports, Exports, Air, Sea, cartage, customer service, the lot. You will be given your own portfolio of clients that move goods all over the world where it will be your responsibility to keep your clients up to date and the supply chain moving and all checks and balances in place for a smooth transition each and every time your clients move cargo.


Duties & Responsibilities

• Organising all routing and bookings for your clients
• Liaising with external and internal teams daily
• Liaising with overseas offices, agents and suppliers
• Notifications to clients
• Domestic cartage
• Invoicing
• Both Import and Export operational duties for sea and air freight

Skills & Experience

• Freight Forwarding experience
• Both Import/Export and Air/Sea exposure
• Both international and domestic logistics understanding
• Cargowise system, advantageous 
• Autonomous workload mindset
• Ability to time manage, prioritise and multi-task
