The Role

Perishables Manager of a team of 6 operators covering jobs from end to end of their client lists supply chain.  Cross training and upskilling your team to cover things when people away, as well as manage staff leave and HR issues. Being the got to and conduit between departments and the Director on escalations, problem solving and solutions for all matters operations. Ability to multi task these managerial duties whilst also covering your own small portfolio of clients in a hands on operational sense of your own.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Leading a team of 6 operators
• Monthly reporting and presentations to stakeholders
• Hands on end to end import/export operations
• Mainly Export Sea perishables duties
• Domestic cartage
• P&L checks
• Managing staff leave, upskilling and delegations

Skills & Experience

• Recent Freight Forwarding experience a must
• Import/Export, Air/Sea hands on exposure
• Perishables background in hands on capacity
• Cargowise, advantageous
• Leadership experience, desirable
• Delegation and escalation point confidence
• Strong email, phone and in person communication skills
