The Client

Joint Australia and New Zealand forwarding and customs business with offices in both AU & NZ, as well as strategically placed touch points around the globe. Financially stable and unique in terms of the types of cargo movements they are involved. There is nothing a client can’t get moved into Melbourne from any part of the globe without solutions from this company. With a brand-new office and fit out in the busy hub of Tullamarine, free parking and walking distance to cafes and a senior management direct line for conversation, questions and training.

The Role

Reporting directly into the National Sales Manager and a dotted line to the CEO, your role will encompass quotations, rate card management and support for the sales team to achieve their quotas, as well as existing clients update requirements. Through the cargowise system and their own platforms for quotations, you will be in constant contact with carriers, lines and suppliers for the most up to date costs, buy rates and inputting selling rates into the company system. The role will also incorporate procurement requirements for the company as well as bringing your own ideas to who to reach out to and why.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Quotations for international and domestic rates
• Rate Card management
• Autorating coverage
• Liaising with all carriers, lines, suppliers and vendors for rate updates
• Spot rate assistance for sales team
• Procurement assistance for all  office requirements 

Skills & Experience

• Recent Freight forwarding experience
• Sales Support or procurement exposure within freight forwarding, advantageous
• Quotations background
• Cargowise and Excel exposure
• Ability to keep track of all updates on rates form all vendors
• Multitask and prioritisation skills

The Benefits

• Depending on experience and exposure, salary range is from $80K-$100K+
